Joy and Partaking of Our Blessings, From the Wells of Salvation

Do you remember the joy you felt when you first gave your life to Christ? It felt like you could hug everybody and talk to everybody about Jesus. The Holy Spirit is a spirit of joy and liberty in Christ, and it’s such an amazing feeling. But what happens when that joy starts to fade away? The devil tries to steal it away, but that’s where we come in. We have to guard the precious gift that we’ve received.

One of the ways we can achieve this is by praying without ceasing and continuing to dwell in His presence. The Holy Spirit works in our hearts as we do this to spread the love of God. After that love spreads in our hearts, we should spread it to the people around us. Glory to God!

This month we’re embarking on a season of joy and partaking of our salvation from the Wells of Salvation. Isaiah 12:3 says, “Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.” When we’re filled with the joy of the Lord, it’s easy to tap into the wells of salvation and draw out the blessings that God has in store for us.

Romans 8:11 says, “But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit.” This verse reminds us that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. That same Spirit has the power to quicken our mortal bodies, but we have to stay close to the Spirit and dwell in His presence.

Colossians 1:12 says, “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.” We have so much to be thankful for. God has made us partakers of His inheritance, and that’s something worth celebrating.

Finally, 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says, “Pray without ceasing.” Prayer is essential as we go through this season of joy and partaking of God’s blessings. We have to stay connected to God and ask him to reveal the blessings that he has for us.

There will be great performances of God’s goodness in our churches, in our families, in our lives, and in our nations. We agree it is so in Jesus’ name. Amen!

So let’s guard the precious gift of joy that we’ve received, and let’s continue to draw from the wells of salvation.
