Brethren, this month at NOM, we are called to wield two powerful weapons – the weapons of Prayer and Praise. These are tools that have been used by the saints of old to show forth the mighty hand of God. In Acts 16:25-31, we read of how Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises to God at midnight, and suddenly there was a great earthquake, and every prisoner’s band was loosed! Likewise, in 2 Chronicles 20:20-30, we see how King Jehoshaphat and his people appointed singers to praise the Lord, and the Lord fought against their enemies, causing them to be defeated and bringing abundance and rest to Jehoshaphat’s kingdom.
Dear friends, let us not underestimate the power of Prayer and Praise. Prayer is our direct line of communication with heaven, and through it, we can speak forth miracles and breakthroughs into our lives. Praise, on the other hand, is an act of faith that shows our belief in God’s infinite capabilities. When we praise God instead of complaining, we acknowledge that He is in control and that He deserves our worship and adoration.
Let us remember that Prayer and Praise are not mere activities we do to fill up our church services. They are our weapons, our tools, our lifeline to the throne of grace. As we pray and praise with power and conviction this month, let us believe that God will welcome earth-quaking miracles into our lives. Let us believe that He is able, and that He will act mightily on our behalf.
So let us arise, brethren, and take up our weapons of Prayer and Praise. Let us speak forth our desires with boldness, and let us thank God for all His goodness towards us. May our prayers and praises bring down the walls of our prisons and defeat every enemy that comes against us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
