Hello there, friend.
Have you ever suffered a loss? You might have lost a loved one, a job, a home, or even your sense of purpose. It can be a painful and perplexing experience, but we’d like to encourage you with some scriptures and remind you that there is always hope for recovery.
In 1 Samuel 30, David and his men had just returned from battle when they discovered that the Amalekites had taken their wives, children, and possessions. This was a devastating loss for them, but instead of giving up, David sought strength and guidance from the Lord. With God’s assistance, David pursued the Amalekites and recovered everything taken from them. Nothing was broken or missing; everything was restored to them by the Lord.
Also in Luke 17:15–19, Jesus heals ten lepers, but only one returns to thank and praise God. That one leper was healed not only physically but also spiritually. “Your faith has made you well,” Jesus said. This demonstrates that when we express our gratitude and praise to God, we open ourselves up to His healing and restoration in all aspects of our lives.
So, my friend, whatever loss you have suffered or are currently experiencing, know that God sees your pain and grief and is with you. He is capable of restoring everything and more to you. Believe in Him and thank Him for His goodness and faithfulness. Keep in mind that this is your season to celebrate your recovery.
Let’s try a fun exercise in faith. Say these words and fill in your name. I [your name], according to the word of the Lord, will recover all I have lost in this season. I have recovered everything the caterpillar and palmerworm have taken from me.
Praise God!
