In our Christian faith, we know that to passcode for receiving is to believe! And we choose to believe in God’s promises today, for the battle is the Lord’s! Wow, what a powerful message for our July 2022 Theme – Choose To Believe, For The Battle is The Lord’s!
As we stand firm in our faith, let us remember Mark 5:36 – “As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.” This verse reminds us that in every situation, we must not be afraid, but only believe in God’s power to overcome any obstacle.
Citing I Samuel 17:47, we see that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the Battle is the LORD’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.” This is a clear reminder of God’s sovereignty over any challenge we might face as His children.
Let us also draw inspiration from Luke 1:30-31, where the angel said to Mary, “Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.” Despite the impossible situation before her, Mary chose to believe that with God, all things are possible – as seen in Luke 1:37 – “For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
Therefore, let us continue to choose to believe in God’s power and promises even when we don’t see any way out! As we stand still and watch God fight our battles for us, we can be confident in His ability to do the impossible. For He is a covenant keeping God, and victory belongs to us as His beloved children! Amen.
