BELIEVER’S ASSURANCE

When you accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, you begin to live in accordance with the spirit of God. God has given you several assurances in the Bible so that, despite the world’s troubles, you will remain safe.

The assurance of salvation through the blood and finished work of Jesus guarantees God has made provision for you to live a victorious Christian life above sin, fear, depression, worries, and death. Read these scriptures to meditate on this assurance.
  1. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ROMANS 8:38 – 39
  2. “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. JOHN 5:24
  3. “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord, “I will put My law within them and on their hearts; I will write it, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” JEREMIAH 31:33
  4. The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God. ROMANS 8:16
  5. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. ROMANS 10:13
  6. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. JOHN 10:28 – 29
  7. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. ACTS 2:21
  8. Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things become new. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17

Dear Child of God, you have assurance in God’s word that no evil or harm will come to you or your family. Read and meditate on these scriptures to claim them.
  1. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noon. A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look and see the reward of the wicked. PSALMS 91: 5-8
  2. For the LORD your God is he who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory. DEUTERONOMY 20:4
  3. The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. PROVERBS 18:10
  4. The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him. NAHUM 1:7
  5. So we may boldly say: ‘The LORD is my helper; I will not fear.” What can a man do to me? HEBREWS 13:6
  6. The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. PROVERBS 18:10
  7. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. PROVERBS 91:11-12
  8. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all. PSALMS 34:19

Understanding God’s promise of long life on earth and eternal life, which transcends this world to the life we live after death, should be a strong conviction for every believer. Read these scriptures to have a better understanding:
  1. With long life, I will satisfy him and show him my salvation. PSALMS 91:16
  2. I shall not die, but live and declare the works of the LORD. PSALMS 118:17
  3. 3.     And if you will walk in my ways, keeping my statutes and my commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days. 1 KINGS 3:14
  4. 4.     For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through him. JOHN 3:16 – 17
  5. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. 1 JOHN 2:17
  6. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. ROMANS 6:23
  7. But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life. JOHN 4:4
  8. In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began. TITUS 1:2

Even though the earth is a temporary home, our Father understands that we have needs, and he made provisions for our daily needs and all we need to excel in life. There are proofs in the Scriptures:
  1. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 2 COR 9:8
  2. And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. PHIL 4:19
  3. Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow [seed] nor reap [the harvest] nor gather [the crops] into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they? MATT 6:26
  4. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 PET 1:3-4
  5. A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. PS 23:1
  6. Therefore, do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. MATT 6:31-32
  7. The young lions suffer from want and hunger, but those who seek the Lord lack nothing good. PS 34:10
  8. He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also graciously give us all things? ROM 8:32
