Divinely Exempted and Preserved for a Posterity In the Earth

As a Christian, it’s easy to become engrossed in life’s uncertainties—the dangers, trials, and unknowns. When life appears to be going downhill, we may wonder who will protect and preserve us, our children, and our children’s children. The good news is that we have God on our side.

God has proven to be a faithful protector and preserver of His people throughout history. In Genesis 45, we see how God used Joseph’s perilous journey to Egypt as part of His plan to secure his family’s future. Similarly, in Exodus 12, God protects His people from a plague of death by instructing them to mark their homes with the blood of a lamb.

And in Esther, we discover how God thwarted Haman’s evil schemes to secure the salvation of the Jewish people.

God continues to demonstrate His salvific power to us in the New Testament. In Acts 28, we learn that God delivered Paul from a viper’s poisonous bite so that he could complete his task of bringing the gospel to Rome. All of these tales demonstrate that God’s plan of preservation and deliverance encompasses not only the present generation but also coming generations. God considers the children and the children’s children when He delivers a person. He has a plan for us to carry out for our descendants around the world.

As we enter this season of being divinely exempted and preserved, let us put our trust in the Lord’s faithfulness to protect and preserve us and our loved ones.

Dear friend, do not be afraid because you are heavily backed up by God.
